| Mountain Research provides complete vapor intrusion into buildings
(VIB) services. VIB potential can be assessed using indoor air quality (IAQ) or, as preferred by Pennsylvania regulators, using soil gas sampling.
Samples are collected using our gas canisters and are analyzed by the Mountain Research laboratory. For soil gas, sampling probes are installed using our Geoprobe rigs.
Analytical
results are evaluated in accordance with relevant regulations, and as
necessary, computer modeling of results is conducted to evaluate
potential risks when concentrations exceed media specific
concentrations. When needed, Mountain Research can provide design and
mitigation of vapor intrusion issues.
